Congratulations on your new life in Christ!

If you’ve made your decision and prayed the prayer to receive Jesus, you’re already beginning to understand that it’s not about religion—it's about relationship!  Here are some simple steps to help you get started...

…take time everyday to talk with God. 

Remember this:  prayer is simply talking with God.  He isn’t interested in flowery prayers or religious language; He’s interested in YOU.  You can talk with Him like you would talk with a friend.  An important key to answered prayer is praying to the Father in Jesus’ Name; the way Jesus said to pray in John chapter 16 verses 23 and 24: “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.  Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

It is our spiritual food, our standard and road map for living.  We urge you to get your own Bible as soon as possible.  We highly recommend the New King James Version.  If you are genuinely unable to get a Bible right away, we would be happy to provide you with one free of charge.  We suggest you begin your reading with the Gospel of John.  And then, since the New Testament is written to believers in Christ, it’s best to concentrate your reading there, at least at first.

 It is God’s plan that you build relationships with other believers and be in a place where you can be taught the Word of God.  Ask Him to show you where He wants you to go to church.   That's the most important thing.
